Apr 25 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Anti-Oppression Lens in Youth Work invites participants to explore the concepts of white supremacy, systemic racism, heterosexism, internalized oppression, gatekeeping, and much more in order to gain a stronger analysis of oppression.

We will look at our own history of racial marginalization in Seattle/King County, and participants will engage in group exercises to increase personal awareness of participant’s social location within these complex systems.

Lastly, we will look at tools in how to best work with youth of color, 2SLGBTQIA youth, and other youth on the margins. All are invited & encouraged to attend.
